The main tasks of the Republican Education Center under the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter - the Center) are:

development of state educational standards, basic and alternative curricula and programs of general secondary education;

Selection of authors on the order of the Ministry of Public Education and creation of single models of textbooks and manuals for teachers;

examination of created textbooks and methodical manuals for teachers, giving conclusions on their application in the education system;

Supervise the testing of curricula, programs, textbooks and manuals for teachers;

development of modern methods of teaching science and assessment of students' knowledge, as well as the introduction of an interdisciplinary approach to teaching based on the integration of educational programs and the dissemination of positive experience in general secondary education;

Improving the teaching and methodological support of subjects taught in general secondary education, especially in the first stage of mathematics, computer science, chemistry, biology and the Uzbek language (as a mother tongue and state language) and ensuring the quality of textbooks;

introduction of advanced pedagogical technologies and other acceptable methods of teaching STEAM subjects (Science - natural sciences, Technology - technologies, Engineering - technical creativity, Art - art, Mathematics - mathematics) in the educational process;

Analysis of the effectiveness of the work of science methodologists of district (city) departments of public education and the formation of their rating on the basis of assessment criteria (KPI) approved by the Ministry of Public Education.
