The main tasks of the department are:

Participate in ensuring the effective implementation of the tasks and functions assigned to the Ministry;

Cooperation with the integrated socio-economic development sectors (hereinafter referred to as the integrated socio-economic development sectors) headed by the heads of the Fergana region and local governments, the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service;

monitor and control the observance of laws and regulations in the field of general secondary and extracurricular education;

coordination of educational and methodological activities and introduction of information and communication technologies in general secondary and out-of-school educational institutions;

Coordinates activities for the rehabilitation and spiritual and moral education of students in specialized educational institutions for children with disabilities;

support for legal entities engaged in the provision of non-governmental educational services and the development of alternative forms of education in general secondary and out-of-school education;

take practical measures to expand public-private partnerships in the regions;

organization of measures for the introduction of modern security tools and innovative technologies in secondary schools;

Assistance in compiling government rankings on support for general education institutions and the development of their infrastructure;

to ensure that the involvement of teachers in various activities not related to their professional activities is strictly prohibited, to enhance the status and prestige of the teaching profession, to prevent violations of the rights and freedoms of teachers in the performance of their professional duties, and to prevent discrimination;

Ensuring the implementation of a unified state policy aimed at the development of the system of general secondary and extracurricular education, improving the skills and professionalism of teachers;

Ensuring the introduction of modern advanced forms of teaching, new pedagogical and information and communication technologies, effective forms and methods of education in the educational process;

Through the effective implementation of the activities of the primary organizations of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan in educational institutions, to educate students in the spirit of national and universal values, humanity and high spirituality, to instill in their hearts and minds the ideas of independence, devotion to humanistic traditions, implementation of measures aimed at strengthening immunity against foreign ideas;

Full coverage of 9th grade graduates to the next stage of education, ensuring that they continue their education in the 10th grade of general secondary education or in academic lyceums or vocational schools of their choice;

to organize vocational guidance and psychological and pedagogical diagnosis of students, guardianship, protection of the rights and interests of children and adolescents, regular work with them, including socially vulnerable children;

organization of mass involvement of students and youth in regular physical culture and sports;

wide dissemination of the city's achievements in the field of education at the national level through conferences, exhibitions and other events;

Take measures to provide district (city) public education departments and educational institutions under the management with highly qualified, modern knowledge.
